Shifu Liu Quanjun on the Jiaozuo Belt & Road UK Tour

Master Liu Quanjun from Tai Ji Circle, who is also Vice-President of Chenjiagou Taijiquan Association – London, was asked to take over from Master Chen Bing (who unfortunately was unable to enter the UK) to demonstrate Chen Taijiquan as part of the 2019 China Jiaozuo Tai Chi Cultural Tour – The Thousand Miles on “The Belt & Road”. Master Liu travelled to Edinburgh and Oxford to celebrate China’s cultural ‘gift’ of Taijiquan (Tai Chi Chuan), that is loved and shared in the Uk and around the world.

Edinburgh University

The Edinburgh event took place on 21 August at the University gym in the middle of the Edinburgh Festival.

Oxford Town Hall

The Oxford tour was on 23 August and held at the Oxford Town Hall in the presence of the Mayor, Craig Simmons, organised by Emma and Phil from Oxford Tai Chi and Qi Gong who are also run the Chen Bing Academy in Oxford.

It was a privilege to meet and spend time with the officials from Jiaozuo city, Wenxian and Chenjiagou, the birthplace of Chen Taijiquan, before they came to London for the event hosted by Tai Ji Circle on Saturday 24 August. We are very happy to celebrate China’s cultural ‘gift’ of Taijiquan (Tai Chi Chuan), that is loved and shared worldwide, and help to promote exchange between British and Chinese peoples.
